Ahhhh, the Poppy. Although quite the ugly plant itself, the flowers totally make it worth being in the garden!!!
And quite possibly one my favorite flowers, the Gerbera Daisy…a must have garden addition!!

May 17, 2010It was a lovely day in the “D” yesterday, hoe-down and all..LOL!!!!!
First, we stopped at the Heidelburg Project…a very cool place!! I had heard about it but never actually seen it! For more info, check out their site: http://www.heidelberg.org
So this pic is one of those times I wish I had audio attached to the pic..LOL!! Said in the most sweetest little voice by Jennifer: “So Michael, where would you like to go take our engagement pictures today?”..LOL!
Then it was over to the DIA and the Detroit Public Library.
Mike actually proposed in front of this statue (Rodin’s Thinker) when it was being displayed in PA (it was PA, right?)..LOL!!!
and then it was off to Tiger Stadium!!
and then it was off to Campus Martius and a quick stroll through the Hoe-down to get to the riverfront!
and our final stop of the day, the church with the fantastic red doors!!

The joy of having our new house is I get to apply my landscaping skills all over again, since the old house was getting a bit too full..LOL!!!!
