Hello and welcome to my new Blogsite. What is a blogsite you ask? Is that even a word? Well I have no idea, lol, but it is my fancy way of saying it was too hard to maintain a blog and a website, so I combined the two into one!
For those first coming to my site, my name is Erin Werner and I am a portrait and wedding photographer in Oakland County, MI. Clarkston to be exact, however, I travel all over to do pictures!!
Please have a look around and visit my F.A.Q's page for more information about me and my photography. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at erin@erinwernerphotography.com or (248) 318-6254.
Thanks for stoppin' by!!

I do not even know where to begin. Kevin and Kristen live in California but are Clarkston natives. A little backstory, about a week before they contacted me, I was telling a friend about how I would love to do a wedding where the theme was really “different” such as having skull decorations or a tattoo’d up bride, ect, ect. Low and behold, I get a call from Kristens mom telling me all about her daughters “El Dia de los Muertos” themed wedding. Now it was funny, because she prefaced it with “you might think this is a bit different” and as she went on and revealed the theme, I got SO excited!!! Back in my college days, my photojournalism class had actually gone down to Mexican town for the Day of the Dead celebration so I was very familiar with the traditions, the colors, and the all around fantastic-ness of it all!! and yea, I just made up a word..haha!! So needless to say, I was very excited to see how all their plans had come together, and let me just say, they didn’t disappoint!! There was so much symbolism (such as the hummingbird and peace sign on her bouquet to honor a few loved ones who could only be there in spirit), color, decorations, and all around joy and happiness (which is everything the Dia de los Muertos celebrates). It truly was a happy day. And to make it even better, they even brought a bit of that fantastic Cali sunshine with them because, I tell ya, the light was DIVINE today!!!!!! I really had a great time with you guys and your wonderful family!! =)

Happy early birthday!! She’s a 4th of July baby so she’ll be one soon!!! <3

So Chrissy and I “met” when I was signing Gabs up for some classes through the parks and rec (she works there). I’d say we instantly hit it off and when it came time to their engagement pics, I got to meet Jay and my wonderful assistant for the day, Chrissy’s mom!! We had such a fun time doing those pics and I knew the wedding would be even better!! So fast forward a few months and here we are, June 12. So, AGAIN, the forecast called for a rainy Saturday. From what I hear, there was a lot of praying going on and low and behold, um…NO RAIN!! Only downside was that it was very, very hot and humid!! But hey, it beats rain! LOL!! Due to a broken air conditioner, we had a last minute venue change, instead of sweating it out in the chapel, the ceremony was moved outside to the gazebo. Chrissy looked just gorgeous and I just love Jay’s reaction the first time he saw her. Their wedding was so fun and really was a…..nice day for a….White Wedding!!! (LOL!!!!!! and for those that aren’t in the know…White is their new last name..hence the reference to Mr. Billy Idol there..hhahaha!).

The crowd…and Jay…awaits the big moment!!

Ahhh, another wedding day that called for rain that never happened!! LOL!! Yay for that!!! I was fortunate enough to meet Jamie through on of my very best, and oldest friends, Heather (they are cousins!!). It’s always nice to be at a wedding where you know some of the guests..LOL!!! It was nice to see a lot of people I haven’t seen in a looooooong time!!! Jamie and Kevin were married in the St. Joseph Catholic church South Lyon. After their ceremony, we headed to a little park right next door to the church for some pics! It was nice and humid..LOL…but hey, that beats rain!! After that, it was off to the reception at the beautiful Crystal Gardens in Howell where everyone danced the night away!! Congrats you guys and thanks for having me be a part of your special day!!!

Nick and Amy had a gorgeous Addison Oaks wedding!! The weather said 60% chance of rain…um..not good for an outdoor ceremony!! But, by some miracle, the rain completely skipped over Leonard, MI and the sun even peeked out for a few minutes!!! So needless to say, they had a fabulous ceremony full of lots of love and emotion. After that, we had tons of fun goofing around during pics. I totally love that Amy had a tea length dress which, originally, was a lot longer. BUT, due to the purchase of some fab-o shoes, she decided it would be an injustice to them to cover them with a dress all day, so she totally shortened the dress for the shoes…I love it!!! LOL!!! I had such a fun time with you guys and you have the best family and friends!! Enjoy your time in Cancun!!

Showing off her inspiration for her hair…its the creepy face Belle..LOL!!!

A bit of last minute primping before the big moment!!

Trying to sneak a peek of his Gorgeous bride!!
